DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO BRYLACH TIME
From Glasgow (approx 200 miles - 3.5-4 hours)
Take the M80/A80 north towards Stirling. Just before Stirling the M80 joins the M9. Stay on here travelling northwards and when it changes to the A9 near Dunblane continue on the A9 to Perth. At Perth follow the A9 north to Aviemore. Turn off and go through Aviemore and out on the A95 signposted Elgin (A941). Stay on the A95 but do not go into the town. At the second roundabout on the outskirts of Grantown, turn right over the River Spey and head towards Elgin. Keep on this road as far as Charlestown of Aberlour (24 miles from Grantown). Continue through the village on the A95 to Rothes. The road changes numbers to the A941 at the Craigellachie Bridge over the Spey two miles on from Aberlour. At the roundabout at the other end of Rothes head to Elgin on the A941. Staying on this road, after about 1.5 miles you will see the Glen of Rothes Trout fishery on the right. Carry on, and Brylach is up the track on your left in front of our house called 'The Kennels' which is on a right hand bend. If you end up in front of the mansion house you have missed the turning.
From Edinburgh (approx 180 miles -3.5 hours)
Take the A90 across the Forth Road Bridge and join the M90 signposted to Perth. The M90 splits just before Perth. Be sure to head for the signs that say A9 North and Inverness. Once you are on the A9, follow the directions above.
From Inverness (40 miles - 45 mins)
Head out on the A96 signposted to Aberdeen. Travel through Nairn and Forres. As you enter Elgin you will pass Dr Gray's Hospital on the right. At the first roundabout stay on the A96. At the next roundabout turn right up the hill. Cross the mini roundabout outside the Comet store and follow the road to the next roundabout. Turn right signposted to Perth A941(A95) and cross the railway bridge. Go straight on at the next roundabout and up the hill out of town. Approximately six to seven miles on you will come to a large mansion house on your right just after a right hand bend. Brylach is up the next track on the right after the mansion house.
From Aberdeen ( 65 miles - 75 mins)
Head out of Aberdeen on the A96 signposted Inverness. Carry on the A96 past Huntly. 1 mile after the roundabout turn left on the A920 signposted Dufftown. Turn right at the clocktower in the centre of Dufftown onto the A941 signposted Elgin. Follow this road to Craigellachie and at the T junction turn right to Rothes. At the roundabout at the other end of Rothes head to Elgin on the A941. Staying on this road, after about 1.5 miles you will see the Glen of Rothes Trout fishery on the right. Carry on, and Brylach is up the track on your left in front of our house called 'The Kennels' which is on a right hand bend. If you end up in front of the mansion house you have missed the turning.
